HOME  Paramount Brand Book Design (Hotels & Resorts)  June 2025

“How can I create a brand book that effectively sends Nickelodeon’s brand as a message to future partners and collaborators? How can it scream ‘NICK’ while also keeping a high-end, refined look?”

Context:
I was given the task of creating a couple of example layout mockups for Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort’s new brand book that they were in the process of building. I was given two assets/references: their old brandbook from 2019, and their new brandbook from 2024.

There were certain designs and layouts that I really liked from both brandbooks. The older one was more sleek and “elevated”, while the newer one was more on-brand with Nickelodeon: splashes of bright colors, paint splotches, loud bold text, the works. So I combined them.
Using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Blender, I extrapolated certain designs and page schemes from each brandbook and put them together to create my take on Nickelodeon’s Hotel & Resorts.

I played with different color palettes and eventually finalized a peach/orange gradient cover. I then 3D modeled it on Blender to make it look like a real coffee table, and did the same process for the layout pages. I played around with different pictures, IP’s, and spotch shapes until I got what you see now.

Formerly a student in the Iovine and Young Academy at the University of Southern California, I am a designer and strategist simply looking to show that things can be both pretty and functional. Constantly looking for ways to incorporate my interdisciplinary studies into my real world skills and works. Reach out and connect to work, talk, grub, or grab a beer.

Cheers!
