“Why did you decide to do a popup?” is the most asked question I got.



Context:
Two of my friends and I decided that starting our own cafe would not only be fun, but a good way to make some pocket change. “How hard could it be” is what we asked ourselves.

So with nothing but a “yeah we could do that if we wanted to” mindset, we got to work. We found out that it was quite hard. But the countless hours we put in over the course of 3 months REALLY paid off.
We spent months testing and making original drinks, designing our logo, making social media campaigns and reels, and even hosted a pre-popup tasting event for a select number of people to advertise it. The Result?

Almost $1000 in profit in our first popup, 150+ people in 3 hours, and 34k impressions over a week during our social media campaign.
